MY STORY

Hello! My name is Olivia Moosey, I’m an alumni of DePaul University. I studied to get my B.A. in Journalism with a double minor in Public Relations & Advertising, and Communication & Media. I'm based in Chicago at the moment, and making the move to the big apple in the next couple months. Currently, I'm in the process of looking and actively applying for a full time job opportunity.
In college, I helped found and served as president of DePaul's CHAARG chapter (Changing Health, Attitudes, and Actions to Recreate Girls), a health and wellness organization for likeminded women. Later, I served as event coordinator researching fitness studios and planning workout classes for our chapter. I was a contributing writer for The DePaulia student newspaper by staying up to date on campus and worldwide news. I held an internship at StudyBreaks student magazine where I wrote about all things entertainment and pop culture. The classes that I've taken range from Public Speaking, Arts & Entertainment Reporting, Special Events Planning, Social Media Marketing, and Live from Chicago's Improv scene. I’m interested in all things theatre, & arts and culture. I have strong skills in journalistic writing, organizing and communicating effectively. A goal of mine is to work in the communications field combing my skills and interests with my passion for writing. I love anything entertainment based and empowering people, and I would love to translate that for my full time career!
